-Dhritarashtra got married to Gandhari
Gandhari took black piece of cloth & blindfolded herself to share the fate of her Dhritarashtra(blind)
Shakuni wasn’t happy with this as Bhishma(kuru) offered proposal of marriage of his sister with blind Dhritarashtra & not handsome Pandu.

MAHABHARATA Day 2 | Episode 2 – Bhishma’s Arrogance
Because of this disappointment, Shakuni vowed to take revenge of Bhishma & Kuru dynasty.
Pandu got married with Kunti & Madri. Pandu was the king but he wanted a break from his duties to visit forests with his wives.
When they were having good time in forests, Pandu sees deer couple making love with each other. He was hunting so, he shoots an arrow toward deers & shots them.
When he goes near to that couple, he sees a man & woman in each others arm where woman already died due to his arrow.
MAHABHARATA Day 1 | Episode 1 – The Start
Pandu realises that he has killed a Rishi & his wife, when they were in love.
Rishi Kindama in bleeding condition curses Pandu that whenever he will try to love his wives, he will die painfully.
Sad Pandu after hearing this, decides to live his whole life in forests & giving up all his palace luxuries. His wives also stays with him in forest.
Unhappy Pandu lives in pain that he can never father a child.

One day, Pandu asks Kunti to do Niyoga to give him a son but she says, king let me tell you a secret.
She tells that, long ago she served Rishi Durvasa & pleased Rishi gave her a mantra which can invoke any god & she can have a child of him.
Pandu gets happy hearing this.
Kunti uses mantra,
-She invokes God Dharma & she gets a righteous child named YUDHISHTHIR
-She invokes God Vayu & she gets a powerful child named BHEEMA
-She invokes God Indra & she gets a skilled child named ARJUNA
Madri (another wife of Pandu) after seeing this, also asks Kunti to tell her mantra to have a child. Kunti says I’ll share but use it only once. Madri uses mantra
-She invokes twin God Ashvins & she gets twins named NAKUL & SAHDEV
Kunti gets angry for using mantra for twins.
Angry Kunti ends the mantra forever so that no one can use it ever again.
So Pandu’s sons are called as PANDVAS, The 5 Pandavas.
Yudhishthir, Bheem, Arjuna, Nakul, Sahdev
MAHABHARATA Day 8 | Episode 8 – The fight for the CROWN
Gandhari was pregnant from 2 long yrs. When she got aware that Kunti got blessed by son, she got angry at herself & asked a maid to hit her Baily by iron rod. Maid did that.
Something fell out of her womb & it was not any kid, it was a ball of a flesh.
Suddenly Ved Vyasa appears & asks maid to put that ball in water & it will break into 100 pieces & then Keep them in separate jars. After few months, 100 kids take birth.
DURYODHANA, DUSHASANA, DUSSALA(daughter) & 97 others.
Meanwhile in forest, Pandu gets attracted seeing Madri. He tries to get close to her to make love. Suddenly his chest starts paining & he dies, as he was cursed by Rishi Kindama before.
Kunti gets angry at Madri but she says, I stopped him but he couldn’t resist himself.
MAHABHARATA Day 2 | Episode 2 – Bhishma’s Arrogance
Sad Madri decides to give up her life to join Pandu in his future life to fulfill his desires.
During funeral of Pandu, Madri walks into the fire & gives up her life for him.
Neighbours of Pandu family in forest requests Kunti to return to Hastinapur with 5 Pandavas.
Kunti returns to Hastinapur with Bheem, Arjuna, Yudhishthira, Nakula, Sahdeva where BHISHMA greets them with tears in his eyes.
