Pragathi Mahavadi (born 17 April 1975) is Indian film and television actress who has acted predominantly in Telugu cinema and in addition with Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinema. Pragathi was born in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, India. Pragathi started her career as a model for Mysore Silk Palace.

She started her career as a model for Mysore Silk Palace and later made her acting debut in 1994 with the Tamil film Veetla Visheshanga directed by K. Bhagyaraj.013 She has acted predominantly in Telugu cinema and has also appeared in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema.

She won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of the hero’s mother in the movie Emeindi Eevela.

She has acted with well-known actors like Vijayakanth, Allu Arjun, Jayam Ravi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Sathyaraj, and Santhanam. She has appeared in popular films such as Chalo, Dookudu, Race Gurram, Tharai Thappattai, and Inimey Ippadithan. She is currently doing the lead role in Aranmanai Kili serial aired on Vijay TV
